Pawtucket man pleads guilty to video voyeurism

A Pawtucket facing video voyeurism charges pled guilty Tuesday and will go to prison.

The Attorney General’s office announced that John Gomes, 44, was sentenced to six years with three to serve on two counts of video voyeurism of a person under 18 years of age.

As part of the plea deal, Gomes will undergo sex offender counseling, will register as a sex offender upon release and severely restricted access to a computer and internet.

Gomes was arrested in November 2011 as part of an undercover operation conducted by the state police.

Gomes remains out on bail until his sentencing on September 22nd.
