Pawtucket Police are searching for the suspect in an armed gas station robbery early Monday morning.

The suspect entered the Sunoco station on School Street around 3 a.m. and displayed a shotgun to the clerk, demanding money.

Police say the clerk then activated an alarm which sent the suspect fleeing from the scene in the direction of Division Street without obtaining the cash. The clerk was not harmed.

The suspect is described as a white male, about 5’8” to 5’11”, wearing a black hooded jacket with fur on the edges of the hood.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Pawtucket Police at 401-727-9100 and ask for Det. Richard Laforest (ext.761).
