Pawtucket police searching for missing 71-year-old man

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — The Pawtucket Police Department issued a Silver Alert for a 71-year-old man reported missing.

Police said Joao Silva was last seen in the area of Beechwood Avenue in Pawtucket wearing a blue zip-up hoodie and black pants with white stripes.

The report said he is 5 foot, 7inches tall and 134 pounds with brown eyes and gray and brown hair.

Authorities said he is believed to be endangered because of a physical and or mental illness.

No further information was immediately released.
