PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) —Two men have been arrested in connection to the robbery of a local Citizens Bank on July 20th.

Pawtucket Police said members of the New York City Police Department and the FBI arrested Alpha Jalloh, 24 and Loang Manpign, 24, both from New York.

While interviewing both suspects, police said Jalloh and Manpign admitted to the Citizens Bank robbery as well as four other bank robberies throughout the State of Connecticut.

Initially, authorities were searching for a single suspect after reports came forward that a Citizens Bank located on Smithfield Avenue, was robbed around 4:00 p.m.

The suspect handed an employee a note stating he had a gun and he wanted ‘all of the money,’ authorities said.

It is unclear how much money was taken.

Jalloh and Manpign are held in New York awaiting extradition.

Once back in Rhode Island, Jalloh and Manpign will be charged with 1st Degree Robbery and Conspiracy.
