PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) – The city of Pawtucket announced Tuesday it will close the vaccination clinic at St. Anthony’s Parish Center after reaching a milestone.

Last week the city passed its goal for case rates, 99 new cases per 100,000. It’s the lowest positive case rate since September 2020.

“We are now down to a 2.9% positivity rate,” said Public Health and Equity Leader Elizabeth Moreira. “With positivity down and vaccination rates still rising, with 47.9% of people having received at least one dose, we need to continue this momentum to protect the community.”

The clinic at St. Anthony’s Parish Center has administered 12,579 doses since February.

Pawtucket will continue to provide vaccine clinics at McCoy Stadium on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
