Pawtucket woman charged for narcotics trafficking
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Attorney General Peter Neronha announced that a Pawtucket woman has been charged with multiple felony counts of alleged narcotics distribution.
Emily Cortes, 23, was arrested in September 2022 after the Pawtucket Police Special Squad received complaints of drug sales occurring near a residence on Montgomery Street.
Cortes was charged with one count of drug possession with intent to deliver cocaine, one count of conspiracy to possess with intent to deliver cocaine, one count of maintaining a common nuisance, one count of drug distribution withing 300 yards of a school, and one count of possession of less than 10 grams of amphetamine, Neronha said.
The officers also seized cocaine, amphetamine, and drug paraphernalia, he added.
Her pre-arraignment conference will occur on May 15.
