PC Friars Win First Game of Foreign Trip Over Varese All-Stars In Italy

VEDANO, OLONA - The Providence men’s basketball team defeated the Varese All-Stars, 113-46.  The Friars were led by senior Isaiah Jackson, who had 18 points and six rebounds on 5-9 shooting, including 3-6 from behind the arc. Forwards Kalif Young and Nate Watson led the team in the boards.  Young had a team high 12 rebounds to go along with his 11 points. Watson added nine boards and 15 points.Freshmen AJ Reeves and David Duke each added 16 and 14 points, respectively.  The Friars will play game two of their four games in Italy on  Saturday, Aug. 18 when they play the Adriatic Sea Dragons in Fossombrone at 2 pm ET.
