PC Releases Guard Duke Mondy

The Friars sophomore guard Duke Mondy has been released by the Friars.  He had been involved in several disciplinary issues at PC.  He was present when John Lacy and James Still were charged with assaulting a fellow PC student.  Mondy missed the final four games of last season during an investigation into a criminal case.  He was not charged in either case.   Here's is the brief statement from the school.

 

DUKE MONDY RELEASED FROM PROVIDENCE MEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM 

 

PROVIDENCE, R.I. —   It was announced on Thursday, May 19 that Providence College sophomore guard Duke Mondy (Grand Rapids, Mich.) has been released from the men's basketball team. Mondy played in 28 games in 2010-11 and averaged 7.7 points and 3.3 rebounds.
