PC Women Fall At DePaul

DePaul routs Providence 71-38

      CHICAGO (AP) – Katherine Harry scored 13 points to lead a
balanced offense and No. 16 DePaul routed Providence 71-38 on
Wednesday night.
      The Blue Demons (14-2, 2-0 Big East) never trailed and opened an
early 16-2 lead before the Friars (7-7, 0-2) made their first field
goal. DePaul, which had been idle for two weeks, led 40-18 at
halftime and by as many as 35 points in the second half.
      Guard Sam Quigley scored 12 points for DePaul while Keisha
Hampton added 11 points and a game-high eight rebounds. Guard Lola
Wells topped the Friars with nine points.
      The 38 points is the fewest given up by the Blue Demons this
season.
