PC’s Trevor Mingoia Signs Amateur Tryout Agreement with Albany Devils of AHL

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Providence College senior forward Trevor Mingoia has signed an Amateur Tryout Agreement (ATO) with the Albany Devils of the American Hockey League (AHL) as announced by Devils General Manager and former Friar Tom Fitzgerald on Monday (March 28).
Mingoia capped his senior season with the Friars with career highs in assists (23), points (37), and plus/minus (+24). The Fairport, New York native was a three-time Hockey East Player of the Week selection in 2015-16 and also earned Hockey East Player of the Month Accolades for the month of January after registering five goals and seven assists in nine games. For the second straight season, he also earned a nomination for the Walter Brown Award, given to the American-born college hockey player in New England.
The senior winger put forth his best effort of his career on Senior Night against UMass, tallying two goals and three assists during a 6-0 win over the Minutemen.
In three seasons with the Friars spanning 102 games, Mingoia totaled 34 goals and 49 assists, including eight game-winning goals. Prior to Providence, Mingoia spent the 2011-12 season with Union College where he posted three goals and three assists in 18 games with the Dutchmen.
