A pedestrian was injured Tuesday night in East Providence after a crash sent a parked car rolling into her.

Police say it happened around 8:30 p.m. when a 26-year-old man lost control of the car and it rolled over, hitting a parked car. That car was then pushed onto the sidewalk, where it struck a 27-year-old woman who happened to be walking by.

The woman was taken to Rhode Island Hospital where she was treated for injuries that were not considered life threatening.

The driver, 26-year-old Daniel Major, of East Providence, was also taken to the hospital for treatment.

Police are still investigating.
