Pedestrian struck on Route 195, seriously injuried

SEEKONK, Mass. (WLNE) – A pedestrian was struck by a tractor trailer on Route 195 West in Seekonk Monday evening.

Massachusetts State Police confirm a call came in for a pedestrian struck around 9:30 p.m. Police say the pedestrian was seriously injured and taken to Rhode Island Hospital.

Detectives, accident recon, and crime scene investigation are currently at the scene.

Authorities do not know why the pedestrian was on the highway.
