UPDATE: Central Falls hit-and-run identities released

CENTRAL FALLS, R.I. — A pedestrian was taken to the hospital following a hit-and-run Thursday evening, according to Central Falls Police.
Crews responded to Rand Street around 8:30 p.m. and found 65-year-old Joseph Sylvia lying on the road in front of a house.
Authorities say Sylvia was unconscious and appeared to be suffering from severe injuries.
Detectives were called to the scene to investigate the accident. Their investigation determined that the type of car involved was a BMW.
Detectives say they put a BOLO out for a vehicle with heavy front end damage.
Police were able to locate a car that matched the description with the heavy damage.
After speaking to several parties on Friday, officials were able to obtain an arrest warrant for 45-year-old Angel Otero.
Authorities say Sylvia remains at Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition.
