PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Peter Pan and Greyhound bus stops have a new home in downtown Providence.

As of Monday, those stops will now be on Sabin Street in front of the Convention Center.

The move is designed to help reduce the traffic congestion at Kennedy Plaza and bring customers closer the Convention Center.

While this move is temporary, Vice President of Operations at Peter Pan, Frank Dougherty, told ABC6 News that this is a good fit.

We are preparing to move over to the new intermodal facility and we needed to get out of Kennedy Plaza for construction and this is a perfect home for us. This is where travelers from outside of RI will come. They have the Dunk, Convention Center. This is the perfect access point to use the facility.
