Plainridge Park Casino evacuated due to ‘malfunction of exterior heating unit’

PLAINFIELD, Mass. (WLNE) — Plainfield police and fire crews evacuated the Plainridge Park Casino Saturday.
A spokesperson for the casino said this was because of the “malfunction of an exterior heating unit.”
Local authorities told the casino to “evacuate the facility” while the incident was examined.
The casino was closed for just over an hour and reopened at 2:45 p.m.
The spokesperson said no one sustained any injuries.
