WESPORT, MA- A small plane has crashed in Westport.

The crash happened just after 7 Sunday morning at 416 Adamsville Road.  Police say the single engine plane didn't get enough altitude during takeoff and crashed into the woods approximately a hundred feet from the end of a private airstrip.

All five people on board the plane were out when emergency crews arrived on scene.  No one was injured.

A hazmat crew was called in to clean up a fuel from the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.  An investigator from the FAA is heading to the scene.
