Plymouth cancels 4th of July parade for second year in a row

Plymouth, Mass. (WLNE) – For the second year in a row, July 4th festivities in Plymouth are canceled in 2021.

Organizers of the Plymouth Fourth of July Celebration making the announcement on social media on April 16.

Saying the COVID-19 pandemic is to blame and it’s best to cancel the parade and fireworks show in order to keep the community, visitors, parade participants, and volunteers safe.

Last year the town was getting ready to celebrate the 400th year since settlers reached America.

Now organizers are looking to celebrate in 2022.
