Suspects appear in front of Judge following vehicle chase throughout RI

Police arrested 6 people Monday, including a juvenile girl, after a reported Breaking & Entering led to a high speed.

Scituate Police say a caller reported seeing several people trying to break into a home on Robinwood Drive. Officers spotted the car on Route 12 and a chase ensued.

Police chased the car from Scituate through Johnston to North Providence where it crashed into a stone wall on Fruit Hill Avenue. Six occupants were arrested after a foot chase.

Police say a 17-year-old girl was driving the car, along with 5 other male passengers.

Police have charged the suspects with Breaking & Entering and Conspiracy; the investigation continues and other charges may result:

  • Trey D. Pinkerton (19 years old), 47 Zone Street, Providence, RI
  • Jakial Smith (20 years old), 61 March Street, Providence, RI
  • Richard S. Koboi (20 years old), 60 Prairie Ave., Providence, RI
  • Travone J. Green (19 years old), 293 Vermont Ave., Providence, RI
  • Isaiah Edwards (20 years old), 54 Regent Street, Providence, RI
  • Driver of the vehicle:  17 year old female juvenile from East Providence, RI

Johnston PD and RI State Police assisted Scituate Police in the pursuit and apprehension.  North Providence PD assisted in the apprehension. 

While investigating the Breaking & Entering, police also discovered an illegal marijuana grow inside the residence. They arrested 48-year-old Michael Arlan on charges of Cultivating Marijuana.

All subjects were scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday.
