Pawtucket Police have arrested and charged a second suspect involved in a brawl at The Met that sent an Officer to the hospital in December.

Helder P. Andrade, 21, of Pawtucket, turned himself into Pawtucket Police on New Year’s Eve and was released on personal recognizance.

Andrade was wanted on charges of simple assault, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct after a fight that broke out on December 26th, in which Pawtucket Police Officer Matthew Mello was assaulted.

Officer Mello was attempting to arrest Helder Andrade during the brawl but lost consciousness after being punched in the face by Helder’s brother, Aderito A. Andrade, 23, who was then arrested by police that night. Helder Andrade fled once Officer Mello was hit.

Anyone with more information on the fight is asked to contact Pawtucket Police.
