Police Arrest Woman for Counterfeit Handbags

A 62-year-old North Providence woman is under arrest, accused of selling fake designer handbags.

Police searched Rita Maher's home this weekend, collecting 300 counterfeit items. Some of the knock offs included Christian Dior, Dolce and Gabbana, and Chanel. Police value the counterfeit bags at more than 57-thousand dollars.

Maher denies knowing it was illegal, and is currently out on bail.
