Police ask public to keep an eye out for Massachusetts man driving around area

WRENTHAM, Mass. (WLNE) — Police in Wrentham are searching for a 73-year-old man reported missing.

The department said Steve Perry is a retired truck driver who has not returned home.

He was last seen in town at about 2:45 p.m. Saturday driving a dark blue 2007 Cadillac DTS.

Police were able to reach Perry on his cell phone. He told officers that he became lost after getting on Interstate 495.

Officers spoke with Perry several times, with Perry being somewhere different. He told police he was in Providence, then in the area of Hartford, Connecticut, then Revere Beach, and then near Manchester-by-the-Sea.

Police believe Perry’s phone died, and now he could be anywhere.

He’s described as 5 feet, 7 inches tall and weighs about 107 pounds, with brown eyes and white hair. He was last seen wearing a tan work shirt, dark blue pants, and black work boots.

Perry walks with an aluminum cane.

Police said he does not have Alzheimer’s disease or a dementia diagnosis.

Anyone who sees Perry is asked to call 911 and describe his location.
