Police, fire responding to fire in West Warwick home

WEST WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE)- ABC6 News Crews arrived at a growing scene in West Warwick where multiple fire and police units were seen dealing with a fire from the second floor of a house. An ambulance was also on the scene.

Neighbors spoke to ABC6 News Crews explaining that they heard a loud sound, like chainsaws cutting through the roof and witnessed the firefighters cutting a hole in the roof.

The Fire Chief confirmed that two adults are stable, two children are stable, but two cats perished in the fire. He also confirmed that this scene is an active investigation but it is believed to have been an electrical situation. There was ammunition in the house that went off during the fire, it is believed the fire itself set off the ammunition.
