PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police on Monday identified a Providence man who was shot to death Thanksgiving Eve.

Maj. David Lapatin said Craig Robinson was found Wednesday night with gunshot wounds after crashing his car on Hazael Street.

Robinson, who’s 24 years old, was taken to the hospital, where he died.

Lapatin said they believe the 24-year-old was shot a short distance away from the site of the crash on Phebe Street. He then drove away before crashing on Hazael Street.

Police said they believe the shooting was targeted.

This shooting, police said, marks the city’s eighth homicide of the year.

No arrests have been made at this time.
