Police identify suspect in Whitman stabbing, obtain warrant for arrest

WHITMAN, Mass. (WLNE) — The Whitman Police Department said they have identified a suspect in connection to violent stabbing earlier this week.
Police said 23-year-old Kedrian Deavonni Perry Marshall, whose last address is unknown, will be charged with attempted murder.
Authorities said they responded to a call for a stabbing incident at an apartment complex on Myrtle Avenue.
First responders said they located a 27-year-old man with multiple stab-wounds to his head and upper body.
The victim was transported to an area hospital to be treated for his injuries and officials expect him to recover.
Witnesses gave first responder a description of a man bearing similar characteristics to Marshall but they were unable to locate a suspect at that time.
Whitman police also said Massachusetts Transit Police arrested a man in connection to a similar crime, bearing resemblance to Marshall.
Marshall will be arraigned for that case at Boston Municipal Court and will be arraigned in Brockton District Court on the Whitman charges at a later date.
Officials said he has prior connections to the Whitman area, however, the circumstances surrounding the alleged stabbing remain under investigation.
