Police identify the two victims from 3-alarm fire in New Bedford

NEW BEDFORD, MASS (WLNE) – New Bedford police said the two victims who tragically died in a 3-alarm structure fire on April 19 are now identified.

The 3-alarm fire ripped through a residential and commercial building early Monday morning on Acushnet Avenue.

The damage to the building displaced 40 people.

The two people that died in the fire are identified as 49-year-old Tomas Gomez-Delacruz, and 40-year-old Juan Macario-Mejia, both from New Bedford.
