Police investigate after reports of shots fired in Newport

NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating after shots were fired in Newport.

The incident happened just after 10:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Memorial Boulevard and Chapel Street.

No injuries were reported.

Police didn’t immediately release any further information.
