PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE)- Providence police are investigating an armed carjacking Saturday night.

Officers arrived to India Street around 10:40 p.m. after a report of a carjacking.

Police said the 38-year-old female victim parked her 2015 gray Audi Q7 on India Street just before the walking bridge and flagpole near India Point Park.

While on the phone, a white Mercury pulled up behind her and two people walked towards her car.

The victim told police a man described as light skin and wearing a dark mask and clothing knocked on her driver side window and told her to get out of her car, while brandishing what she described as a silver gun with a long barrel, possibly a revolver.

Police say the victim was ordered by the suspects to leave her belongings in the car.

The victim, who didn’t have a description of the second suspect on her passenger side, said the pair took her car and headed from India Street towards Gano Street.

No injuries were reported and the stolen vehicle has not been recovered.

Providence police are investigating.
