Police investigate armed robbery at convenience store

Warwick police are investigating after an armed robbery on Saturday night.

At around 7:15 p.m. a female employee behind the counter at Dan’s convenience store on Post road was threatened by a suspect holding a gun, demanding cash from the register.

According to police, the employee gave the robber money from the register, then called police when the man left. It is believed that he ran off on foot.

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, thin, in his twenties. He had black or dark clothing with a red bandanna covering his face, and he carried a back pack.
