BRIDGEWATER, Mass. (AP) _ A woman’s body was has been found bound and burned near railroad tracks in Bridgewater.
Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz said Tuesday that the remains were found just before midnight on Tuesday near the train tracks at Oak Street and Crapo Street.
He said the unidentified woman was found with her hands tied behind her back and to her feet. Police discovered the body down the embankment of the tracks in a relatively secluded area after responding to a call of a suspicious vehicle in the area.
Cruz says investigators believe the body was burned at the scene but the killing likely happened elsewhere.
