Police in Charlestown are investigating a string of copper thefts in vacant homes this winter.

Copper pipes from at least nine homes have been stolen since the beginning of this winter, and police say there could be a couple more before the end of the season. They say that thieves target vacant summer homes, many in the West Beach area.

The thefts have been similarly executed, leading police to believe it could be the same person or group of people stealing the copper.

At this time, no arrests have been made.
