2 men stabbed in Providence, police say
Mayor Jorge Elorza responds to growing crime in Providence.
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Two men were stabbed over the weekend in Providence.
The stabbing happened on Florence Street Sunday night.
Both men, ages 37 and 22, were taken to Rhode Island Hospital where they are stable. Their names were not immediately released.
A suspect is in custody, police said.
Mayor Jorge Elorza told ABC 6 News that the stabbing was between a property owner and a tenant.
