Police investigating fatal accident, driver extracted from Pawtuxet River

WARWICK, R.I (WLNE) – Rhode Island State Police are currently investigating an accident where a vehicle left the road and went into the water.
At approximately, 5:30 a.m on Tuesday, police were alerted to Route 95 South, before exit 13 for a reported single-vehicle crash.
An investigation conducted by the police revealed that the operator of the vehicle, 45-year-old Edouard Myto, of Warwick veered right, traveled across the breakdown lane, and left the roadway.
Police say the car entered the wood line and became submerged in the Pawtuxet River.
Divers from the Warwick Fire department were able to extract Myto.
He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital by Warwick Rescue and pronounced deceased a short time later.
