Police Investigating Rash of Robberies in Pawtucket

Pawtucket Police are dealing with a rash of armed robberies in their city.

There are about half a dozen suspects being sought for various robberies – most of them armed – in the city within the last month.

Some of the more recent robberies include one at a Rite Aid on Saturday afternoon, where the suspect passed a note claiming he had a gun, and a robbery Tuesday at Goldmart on Newport Avenue, where a man with a gun under his coat robbed the store of several cartons of cigarettes.

Police don't believe any of the incidents are related but so far have made only one arrest: a man who robbed a store of oxycontin.
