Police investigating two shot in North Providence early this morning

NORTH PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) – North Providence Police responded to Fatima Hospital for a report of two males suffering from gunshot wounds early this morning, at approximately 12:15 a.m.

Neither victim suffered life threatening injuries, one was struck in the calf area and the other was struck in the forearm.

According to police, the victims were on High Service Ave, when they were confronted by a group of men about an ongoing dispute.

The suspect fired several rounds, striking the victims.  The suspect vehicle fled the area in a gray colored Chevrolet Equinox with Rhode Island registration TU-122.
