Police arrest suspect linked to the murder of New Bedford man

BROCKTON, MASS (WLNE) – Police announced that they have arrested a man linked to a fatal shooting from Friday night.
The Brockton Police department was alerted by Shotspotter and received several 911 calls reporting a shooting in the vicinity of 47 Highland Street at approximately 11:26 p.m.
Police and medical personnel responded and located a male victim, identified as 32-year-old New Bedford Resident, Earl Thomas, in the parking lot suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital where we was pronounced dead.
At approximately 1:10 p.m on Sunday, State Police detectives assigned to Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office sought and received an arrest warrant for 29-year-old Queito Miranda, of Brockton.
Miranda was located and placed under arrest in Worcester around 1:30 p.m.
He was booked at the Worcester Police Department and transported to the Brockton Police Department to be held.
Miranda is scheduled to be arraigned on he Murder charge in Brockton District Court on Tuesday.
