Police: Puppy found abandoned on roadside in North Attleboro

NORTH ATTLEBORO, MASS. (WLNE)- North Attleboro Police are looking for the person that abandoned a puppy on the side of the road over the weekend.

On Monday, the department shared photos on their Facebook of the 12-week-old Chihuahua.

According to police, someone walking their own dog found the puppy in a blue crate on the side of Draper Avenue.

Police say it is unknown how long the puppy was there for.

The puppy is now safe at the North Attleboro Animal Shelter getting medical care. At this time, he is not ready to be adopted.
