UPDATE: Man shot in Pawtucket has died

PAWTUCKET, R.I. – A 29-year-old man shot Monday afternoon on Harrison St in Pawtucket has died, according to police.

Multiple streets had been closed after a reported shooting at the corner of West Ave. and Harrison St.

Authorities say around 4 p.m. Pawtucket Police received a called from a local Dunkin’ Donuts at the corner of Cedar St. and Garden St. saying a man there had been shot.

He was rushed to Rhode Island Hospital where he succumbed to his injury.

Police spent most of the night investigating another scene on Harrison St. linked to the crime.

Multiple bullets shells were found inside the property, and outside in the yard. 

Police have not confirmed the cause of the shooting, or if there are any people in custody.
