Police respond to shooting, stabbing in Pawtucket

PAWTUCKET, R.I. (WLNE) — Pawtucket police are investigating a shooting and stabbing that took place early Friday morning.
Officers responded to Pine and Bayley Streets for shots fired around 3 a.m. Friday.
Police found several spent casings in the roadway.
While police investigated the shooting, they saw approximately 100 people running from Faroles Restaurant where a man inside was stabbed in his stomach.
The victim was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police believe the two incidents are connected.
