Police: Rock thrown at Providence school bus shattered window

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Providence police said they believe it was a rock that shattered a window on a school bus full of children.

ABC6 News crews were on the scene where police, EMTs, children and parents could be seen around a school bus parked on a sidewalk.

Police confirmed to ABC6 News that the incident was not a shooting but an object, currently believed to be a rock, broke through a window.

Officers could be seen entering and exiting the vehicle multiple times before the school bus pulled away, revealing a large hold in one of the windows.

Several children could be seen on the bus as it pulled away.

No information regarding injuries was immediately released.

Police have not named a suspect in connection to the incident.
