Police searching for man for assault in Boston Public Garden

BOSTON (AP) – Police are looking for a man they say assaulted a woman in the Public Garden in downtown Boston and tried to take off her clothes.

Boston police said in a statement posted online that a woman told authorities she was walking in the park early Monday when a man placed his hand over her mouth, made sexually explicit threats and tried to remove a piece of her clothing.

The woman told police that she was able to free herself and fled to safety.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call authorities.
