Police searching for three males involved in stabbing

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Providence police are searching for three males in a stabbing from Tuesday night.

Police responded to 111 Waverly Street just before 8:30 p.m. Tuesday where they found a minor stabbed in the lower back.

The victim says he was approached by three males wearing hooded sweatshirts. A chase ensued as the victim tried to run away and was then stabbed.

He was transported to Hasbro children’s Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
