Police seize 15 ghost guns from North Smithfield man

NORTH SMITHFIELD, R.I. (WLNE) — Rhode Island State Police said today their Intelligence Unit and Violent Fugitive Task Force seized multiple ghost guns from a North Smithfield man.
According to police, 43-year-old Elliott Knorr of 29 Main St. was arrested on weapons charges after an extensive investigation.
Authorities said they began an investigation into a person they believed was involved in assembling and possessing “ghost guns.”
A search warrant was executed on Knorr’s Main Street residence on Wednesday and police said they found 15 ghost guns, ghost gun parts and 36 large-capacity magazines.
Officials said Knorr was arrested and charged with the following:
- Possession of a ghost gun (15 counts)
- Large capacity feeding devices prohibited (36 counts)
- Firing in a compact area (One count)
- Conspiracy to fire in a compact area (One count)

Knorr was arraigned at Third Division District Court and issued a bail of $25,000 with surety and was ordered to surrender any additional firearms.
