NEWPORT, R.I. (WLNE) – Newport Police are cracking down on several businesses found to be selling counterfeit goods.

In June, police received information that several stores were selling high-end counterfeit goods, and conducted a two-month long investigation.

That investigation resulted in seven search warrants at seven retailers.

On Tuesday, police served and executed the warrants at Be Dazzled on America’s Cup Avenue and Goddard Row, Heaven on Earth on Christie’s Landing and Thames Street, Chez Shell on Thames Street, and two Vintage to Vogue locations on Thames Street.

Hundreds of suspected counterfeit goods, such as jewelry, handbags, and purses, were seized from the stores.

The suspected goods are high-end brands such as Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, Tory Burch, and Chanel.

The value of the seized items totaled more than $700,000.

No arrests have been made in this case, and police are continuing to investigate.
