Police seize over $800K worth of heroin during traffic stop

Rhode Island State Police have arrest two New York residents after a traffic stop revealed they were carrying nearly a million dollars worth of heroin.
23-year-old Kalen Antoine and 20-year-old Sergio Torres were arrested Wednesday in West Warwick where over eight pounds of heroin were discovered in their vehicle as they were traveling on I-95.
Police say the heroin was found in a box of ‘Ensure’ underneath the bottles in eight white packages labeled ‘Cafecito Rico,’ which translates to ‘rich coffee’ in Spanish.
Antoine and Torres were charged with the possession of heroin with the intent to deliver. Antoine was also charged with operating on a suspended license and driving while in possession of a controlled substance.
Both were arraigned and held pending a bail hearings on September 24th.
