UPDATE: Man who barricaded himself in home surrenders

NORTH ATTLEBORO, Mass. (WLNE) — A man who barricaded himself inside his North Attleboro house surrendered after an hours-long standoff, according to police.
The 72 year-old man surrendered around 6:30 p.m. and was transported to a local hospital for treatment and evaluation, according to Massachusetts State Police.
Members from the North Attleboro and Massachusetts State Police departments responded to the scene.
Massachusetts State Police told ABC6 News they were notified to activate their ‘STOP’ team and send a negotiator to Richard H. Pinsonnault Lane around 11:30 a.m. The street was blocked off at Harold W. Bishop Boulevard for several hours.
The North Attleboro Police Department is investigating.
