Popular Providence restaurant Gracie’s files for bankruptcy

PROVIDENCE, RI (WLNE) – Gracie’s, a popular restaurant in Providence, has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy.
The restaurant on Washington Street has been around for 22 years.
According to the owner, the pandemic has put a strain on the business and filing for bankruptcy was a last resort.
The restaurant will be closing for a winter break and is expected to reopen in January.
However, the target reopening date in January will depend on Rhode Island’s COVID-19 regulations for restaurants at the time.
