Portsmouth man arrested for embezzling over $500,000

State Police arrested a Portsmouth man for allegedly embezzling $527,934 from the Newport Bay Club Homeowners Association.

Timothy F. Roche, 54, was arrested today and charged with embezzlement over $100.

Police investigated after receiving a complaint from Newport Nay Club Homeowners Association Board of Directors.

Roche is the former general manager of the association.

An arrest warrant was issued, stating that Roche allegedly issued 34 unauthorized checks for his own benefit between the July 2008 and January 2013, totaling to $527,934.
