Pregnant woman struck by car while crossing street

PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — Police are investigating a pedestrian accident after a pregnant woman was hit by a car while crossing the road.
Providence Police told ABC6 that a pregnant woman was crossing Allens Avenue around 11:30 p.m. Friday when she was struck by a vehicle.
Police said she was not in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said the driver stopped at the scene and no charges have been filed at this time.
