Pro-life supporters gather outside State House
PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A pro-life rally was held outside of the State House this weekend.
Dozens of people joined the Rhode Island Right to Life Committee in protesting abortion on Saturday morning.
Protestors told ABC 6 reporters that they were there to “commemorate lives lost due to abortion” and to advocate for banning abortion.
Earlier this month, Gov. Dan McKee told ABC 6 reporters that now is the time for state legislator to expand abortion protection rights for women.
McKee said that abortion-services will be covered in his 2024 fiscal year budget proposal.
