PROVIDENCE, R.I. (WLNE) — A Providence College student fell from a dorm window early Thursday morning.

Providence police said they responded just after midnight to Davis Hall on the campus.

The school told ABC 6 News that the man was taken to Rhode Island Hospital after “falling from a fifth-floor dormitory window.”

The 19-year-old suffered severe leg injuries, according to police.

Investigators spoke to one of his roommates who said that he was sleeping during the incident.

The other roommate, who was not present, said he noticed something off after the two got into an argument recently, according to police.

When entering the dorm room, officers said they noticed a white powdery substance on a desk with a straw and an empty liquor bottle in the trash.

The student is stable but remains uncooperative, police said.
